Staffing Changes

It is bittersweet that we share the news that Coach Jason Haltiwanger has accepted a new position at Oakbrook Academy. Coach Halt has accomplished so much at Richard Winn- academically, athletically, and spiritually. Though we are excited for his new opportunity, we are very sad that he will not be on staff next year.  Here are a few words from Coach Halt:

I am very grateful to Richard Winn for the many memories and friendships that were made during my time at RWA. It is with a heavy heart that my family will be leaving this great place I have called home for the past 10 years, but we are excited for what God is calling us to do next. To my players, remember to always sprint the race that God has called you to run, not for a crown that will perish, but a crown that will last forever.
I would like to thank God for the opportunity to work at Richard Winn Academy, allowing me to do what I am most passionate about, which is teaching and coaching.
God Bless,
Coach Halt
We are excited to announce and welcome Ms. Misty Mathis to the Richard Winn family as the new Dean of Student and Resources. Ms. Mathis will also be coaching the new competitive cheer program. She will be holding additional tryouts for the upcoming 2016-2017 school year for rising eighth through twelfth grades. More information will follow.

During many hours of interviews and discussion, rest assured, we have chosen the right, dynamic person to lead our institution.
We are thankful to Dr. Selby for his time and service at Richard Winn and wish him all the best in his future endeavors. Mrs. Mullennax will begin her term at Richard Winn Academy on June 1, 2016.

 Dear Parents and Faculty:

I am very excited to be a part of the Richard Winn family. I am elated to bring my skills as an educational leader to RWA and to work with you as a partner in education to ensure your child’s success. Along with staff, I will work hard to continue the legacy of success established at Richard Winn.

We will strive to build strong relationships with parents, students, staff and community partners. I anticipate a most successful year as the faculty and I support the academic, athletic, social, and emotional growth of the students here at Richard Winn Academy.

I am truly honored to be appointed to this position and I am looking forward to working with the faculty to provide the best possible educational program for our students. My door is always open and I welcome your input. I look forward to meeting each of you. Please feel free to stop in or call me anytime to discuss any concerns, suggestions, or ideas to help make the upcoming school year the best year yet!
